July Broadcast Denies That JW Children Die Rather Than Have Medical Care
by BluesBrother inanthony morris 3rd delivered the broadcast this month and advised that lies are circulated that they let children die rather than have medical care .
he says this is so inaccurate as to be a boldfaced lie ...... further he says it is "up to the parents to determine what would be the best treatment for their children" .
now, does this mean that parents are really free to make a decision to accept blood for their minor child, if they so choose?

This "isolated event" that "created drama mixed with emotion".......was it perhaps a child dying while refusing a blood transfusion you freaking viper? -

Interesting. I don't know. In readin gtheir explanations and even in their partial e mail response....my BS meter is going off.
the JW apologists seem to be out in droves on this FB thread. I would highly suggest those that are inclined, actually attend.

Also I am interested in investigating who is the group that commissioned this bible to be made.

A difficult yet necessary decision
by Brother Jeramy inthe past five weeks have been perhaps the most painful in my life as a witness.. some months ago a young man (i'd say in his late thirties or early forties) began attending meetings at my kingdom hall.
he had just moved to my area from another state.
he had disassociated himself from his home congregation many years back, when he was 20 years old and going through many of the typical trials and temptations most young men experience.. two of the elders met with him initially, and they later shared the details with the body of elders.

Jeramy,
No apology needed. I was a JW apologist for quite a while online. WAY more than most. I had many an arguement, and even though mostly kind, I now with the benefit of hindsight see some of my arrogance and lack of compassion or empathy.
My humble suggestion is to sit a while with your decision to DA. Your new mind set is barely evolving. I am not an advocate of it to begin with, but your disappointment is fresh. I really feel for your buddy here too. Disfellowshipping is a mess. The random time periods, the broad stroke of what makes someone qualify for it under the terms "wicked" or "evildoer". Its waking up a lot of people. You can't preach forgiveness, and kindness, and outreach, and ten tell the repentant guy he needs to sit his ass down for a few more months so you can see what you feel you need to see.
Feel free to PM me. Our journeys sound similar, and my wife recently left due to matters of conscience related to the unjust treatment of the disfellowshipped.

Candace Conti Settles
by Nitty-Gritty inhot topic on topix seems to be candace conti settlement.
but it's all quiet here.
are you guys aware that your hero, who was not in it for the money but to change policies, settled without changing anything?

Nitty,
I think there is a reasonable slice in between the point you are trying to make and others points. I don't thnk its reasonable for you to think that Candice Condi is lying about being molested, and that the JW's involved are telling the truth. Nor is its accurate vice versa. I think everyone here believes they are telling the truth.
this type of crime is in fact a societal issue. I don't think the point of people here is to suggest there are somehow more molester JW's that the normal % of the population (unless you are more likely to be a molester if uneducated.......couldn't help myself).
The overall point here is that when you purposely live in the bubble, and give untrained people the ability to influence lives so deeply, then you tend to be disconnected from the evil that associate with you own faith, since it doesn't fit your world view. Its documented more than a few times that elders have places what they felt was the fear of reproach, against the welfare of children. THAT is the issue. Kendrick should not have been in service, elders should have background checks, and police should be called if there is an accusation.
End of story. Anything else is not in the interest of protecting the children.
My point is, just because someone molests a younger person once (as in the instance you mention) does not automatically mean they become a pedophile or predator.
And here is where it is interesting. You already know statistically that this is in fact usually not the case. People with a taste for this level of unnatural sexual contact, usually try it again. This is well established. That being said, if you are arguing for the minority (those that don't), then so be it.
So you could plug other crimes into your sentence and it gets tricky. If you beat your wife....are you a wife beater if it only happened once? Is the "second time" the thing that makes it ok to call you an abusive spouse? If you murder someone one time are you a murderer? You have taken a life. You most certainly are a murderer. You are always looked at to some degree as a murderer, and even if released will always be treated by society as such. But......this is the cost for taking life.
I tend to think of molestation the same way. You are taking innocence, if not exactly life itself. And when you do that, you should be condemned, registered, and others protected from you....until you die. that is the degree of punishment that fits the bill.
So I am not certain of your overall point. If it is to point CC as some sort of money grubber......I can assure you she was offered money MUCH earlier in the case. What you are selling just doesn't jive. Nor do I think she should win the peace prize. But from the perspective of most here, she showed courage against an unlimited resource highly corporate entity that uses the first amendment as both a shield and a sword when it suits them, all the while calling the document that produced it part of Satans world.
You just can't make this level of irony up.

Amazing! I am following this as blood is basically what set me off.
OC, your statement below.....
The global medical market has been groomed very carefully by the WTS for many decades and just now, with the emergence of the blood management influence on entire countries, it is finally revealed how the blood transfusion ban impacts, not only the individual JW exercising their human right to die for God - but each and every person outside of those who agree to die so that the JWs in the blood management/bloodless industry can profit.
Can you elaborate on the last part of it?

What Road Would You Choose---IF?

I met my wife as a JW. We are out together, and our children are amazing. If I went back and changed anything, I wouldn't have that. So as much as it sucks, I wouldn't change anything at all if it meant missing out on the people i love. -

How to Block an Interrogation by J.W's

Yeah a logical mind would consider that a catch 22, but a JW mind will immediately reason themselves out of that cognitive dissonance....and probably end up getting you to say something about changing teachings. Once you do that, they can box you out. -

Clive Parker, an elder at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses where Joshua and his family worshipped, said: "I believe he was conscious enough after the accident and he made a stand on the blood issue. He made the choice personally."
You go to hell Clive. This was a 15 year old boy, and the only "issue" is that at that age any normal adult would know he is doing what he is told, not expressing his well thought out and vetted belief system. What a clod!

Could this happen to you?
by adjusted knowledge inthere was a jw who was a born in and faded about 10 years ago near a congregation i attended.
he never married or had children and was in his late 30's.
his parents shun him for the most part but then he had a major stroke.

I am glad the parents took care of their children. While of sound mind they felt differently, but if the price for being in your 30's and having your aging parents care for you round the clock is some drool time at meetings......small price to pay for such help.
